Backing up and restoring your WatCoreLite data
Export a full backup any time, and what happens when you import one back in.
Everything in WatCoreLite lives only on the computer it's installed on — there's no cloud sync, and no account of ours holding a copy of your business data.
Exporting a backup
In Settings → Backup & transfer, Export data saves a full backup file at any time — every customer, invoice, quotation, product, and record currently in the app. Worth doing regularly, not just before something risky.
Importing one back in
Import data restores from a backup file. It replaces every customer, invoice, and record currently on this install — but it never touches this install's own trial or license status, so restoring an old backup can't accidentally revert or corrupt your current activation.
Transferring an export file
Starting over completely
Settings → Danger zone also has a full Reset all data option — permanently deletes everything and restores default settings. Export a backup first if there's any chance you'll want that data again; this one can't be undone.
