Converting an enquiry into a quote or invoice
Turn a tracked lead straight into a quotation or invoice, already filled in with what they asked about.
Once a lead is ready to become real business, an enquiry converts straight into a quotation or an invoice — whichever fits how you actually work.
What carries over
Open the enquiry and click Create Quote or Create Invoice. The customer is pre-selected, and if the enquiry referenced anything from your Products & Services catalog, each item is added as a line automatically, at its current catalog price. Nothing about it is final — every line stays fully editable before you save, exactly like starting from scratch would be, just without the retyping.
Both paths stay open
An enquiry can lead to a quotation first and an invoice later, or straight to an invoice with no quotation at all — whichever matches how that particular sale actually happened. Both links are tracked, so the enquiry's detail page always shows exactly what it turned into.
Status doesn't change on its own
Converting an enquiry doesn't automatically move its status to Quoted or Won — that stays a deliberate choice you make on the enquiry itself, since not every conversation moves in a straight line. See Tracking leads with Enquiries for the full status flow.
Reporting on what converts
The Enquiries report shows a full funnel for any date range — how many came in, how many are still open, your win rate, and (with the catalog module on) which products or services people ask about most. Export it to Excel or PDF the same as any other report.
