Reconciling a bank statement with AI Fill
Hand a bank statement to the AI you already use, paste its reply back in, and WatCoreLite checks every line against what's already recorded — so you only review what's actually new.
Reconciling a bank statement by hand means reading every line and checking it against what you've already recorded — tedious, and easy to double-count or miss something. AI Fill on a bank account's detail page hands that reading to an AI you already use, and does the checking for you.
How it works
- Click ✨ AI Fill from statement and copy the prompt it gives you.
- Paste that prompt into ChatGPT, Claude, or Gemini, then attach a photo, PDF, or screenshot of the account's bank statement — or paste the raw text/CSV of one.
- Copy the AI's reply and paste it back into WatCoreLite.
- WatCoreLite checks every transaction it finds against what's already in that account's register.
Nothing gets counted twice
Every line is matched against existing entries by date, amount, and direction — whether they came from an invoice payment, a purchase payment, a voucher, a transfer, or an earlier import. Each one lands in one of three groups:
- New — nothing like it exists yet; it's queued to be added.
- Already recorded — it matches an existing entry, so it's set aside rather than duplicated. You can still add it anyway with one click if it genuinely is a separate transaction that happens to match.
- Needs your decision — more than one similar entry already exists around that date, so WatCoreLite asks rather than guessing which one it means.
Review the full list, adjust any row you disagree with, then Import — only what you've confirmed gets added to the register.
