How to reopen a closed cash register day

Closed too early by mistake? Here's when WatCoreLite lets you undo it.

A single misclick on Close Day shouldn't lock you out of your own cash drawer for the rest of the day. WatCoreLite has a real recovery path for exactly that.

When it's available

As long as no new day has been opened yet, the Cash Register page shows a Reopen today's register button in place of the usual "open register" form. Click it, and the day resumes exactly where you left off — every entry you'd already logged is still there.

Why it's limited to same-day

Once a new day has been opened (or it's genuinely a different calendar day), that window closes and the balance becomes final. This isn't arbitrary — a later day's opening balance, and any report already generated, may already assume the earlier day is settled. Reopening only ever undoes the most recent close, so it can never quietly disturb something that's already been built on top of it.

What if it's not available anymore?

If the reopen window has already closed, any correction has to go through the next day's register instead — log an adjusting Cash in/out entry with a clear reason, so the discrepancy is still on record even if it can't be edited into the original day.
