Backup & Data
Sending a backup via WhatsApp, email, or Google Drive
Get a copy of your data off this one PC in a click — no USB drive required.
Before you start
WatCoreLite keeps every record on your own machine — no cloud sync, by design. That's exactly what makes a backup worth taking seriously: if this one PC has a bad day, whatever you haven't backed up goes with it. Settings → Backup & transfer now has a Send a copy section for exactly that, right next to the regular Export button.
Enter a phone number and WatCoreLite prepares the backup file, copies it to your clipboard, and opens the chat — press Ctrl+V to attach it, then send it yourself. The same mechanism already used for sharing invoices, just pointed at a backup file instead.
Enter an address and it sends the backup as an attachment through your own configured email account — the same one used for direct invoice emailing, if you've set that up under Settings.
Google Drive
This reveals the backup file in Explorer and opens Google Drive in your browser, so you can drag it in directly — a deliberately simple approach rather than a full account connection, so there's nothing to authorize and nothing that could quietly keep syncing in the background.
