Setting up direct WhatsApp sending
Send invoices and quotations straight to a customer's WhatsApp with one click, using your own Meta WhatsApp Business API account.
Direct WhatsApp sending sends an invoice or quotation straight to a customer's WhatsApp with one click — no clipboard, no chat window to open, no attaching by hand. It uses your own Meta WhatsApp Business API account, so there's nothing routed through WatCoreLite's own servers. It's entirely optional and off by default; the regular one-click clipboard-and-chat sharing described in how sharing and printing work keeps working exactly as it always has, whether or not you set this up.
What you'll need
- A Meta Business Account and a WhatsApp Business Account, created at business.facebook.com if you don't already have one.
- A Phone Number ID — from Meta's developer console (developers.facebook.com), after adding the "WhatsApp" product to an app.
- A permanent access token, generated via a System User in Meta Business Settings.
- One approved message template — see below.

The message template to submit
WhatsApp only allows a business to message a customer who hasn't messaged first through a pre-approved template — so this is a one-time approval step with Meta, not something WatCoreLite can skip around. One template covers both invoices and quotations, via its own variable:
- Name: watcorelite_document_notification
- Category: Utility
- Header type: Document
- Body: Hello {{1}}, please find your {{2}} {{3}} attached, for a total of {{4}}. Thank you for choosing {{5}}!
Submit this exact text through WhatsApp Manager → Message Templates. Approval is entirely Meta's call — it can take anywhere from a few minutes to a few days.
Turning it on
Once approved, open Settings → Direct WhatsApp sending in WatCoreLite, paste in your Phone Number ID, Access Token, and the template name, then use Send a test message to confirm everything actually works before relying on it for a real customer. Turning the feature on is rejected if any of those three fields are left blank, so it can never end up half-configured.
